Devin Chase

Devin has been in law enforcement for 39 years and is currently employed as an Investigator for a Southern California law enforcement agency.

Devin retired in 2014 as a Lieutenant with a large municipal police agency in Southern California after working as a police officer for over thirty-two years. In addition to his years of administrative experience Devin specialized in patrol, narcotics and field training programs; becoming an industry and court recognized expert in these fields in both state and federal courts. 

Devin is a veteran narcotics investigator with over nine years of full-time narcotics experience working as an investigator, a supervisor and as a commander of a Special Investigations Division.  

Devin is trained in Crisis Intervention and he serves as a law enforcement chaplain and as a fire chaplain in the Orange County area of Southern California.

Devin has been developing classes and teaching since 1991; teaching throughout the United States as well as in New Zealand,  Mexico and many countries in Central and South America.   During his career Devin taught thousands of law enforcement professionals from Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies.  Additionally Devin has taught classes to private industry, school students, teachers and parent groups. 

Devin was involved in the development, implementation and operations of field training programs throughout his career working as a Field Training Officer, a Field Training Officer Program Supervisor and spending over two years as the Commander of his agency's Field Training Program.  Devin has over fifteen years of experience working as an instructor of a Field Training Program Management course that has been attended by over 1,000 law enforcement officers.  Devin has served as a subject matter expert for the California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) regarding Field Training Programs.

Devin has served as a consultant to both local and federal prosecutors regarding possession for sales and drug distribution groups in the areas of methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA (Ecstasy), Psilocybin Mushrooms and Heroin.  Additionally, Devin has served multiple times as a subject matter expert to the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) regarding state-wide curriculum development for officer safety in Fentanyl cases, marijuana enforcement under California's legalized marijuana laws, and developing Field Training Instructional programs.

Devin is a lifetime member of the California Narcotic Officers’ Association and he was honored to be the California Narcotic Officers' Association 2005 recipient of the Al Stewart Memorial State of California Narcotic Officer of the Year award.  Devin will be the 2026 President of the California Narcotic Officers' Association.
